Local Scholarships are open to all seniors graduating in the current year.
Scholarships open November 11th @ 9am and close February 14th at 11:59pm.
The following scholarships all use the same SHS common application. This means your information will be saved upon completion of the first scholarship you fill out and is automatically input in the next scholarship applied for. Students will still need to submit each scholarship they apply for individually.

Hyde Racing Scholarship
Hyde Racing Scholarship: This $5,000-dollar scholarship will be awarded to one female in the graduating class who plans on attending a Community College or Trade/Technical School. This scholarship is renewable for two years, if the student maintains C’s and above while attending school full time. Hyde Racing is looking for a female student who has demonstrated the ability to overcome adversity while balancing the demands of high school. Closes February 14th @4pm. Applications are available in the counseling office and must be returned to the counseling office prior to the deadline.
Jerry Westerholm Memorial Scholarship
The following scholarships have been publicized to the Seaside High School Counseling Office for the Class of 2025.
TLC Fibre Federal 2025 Scholarships
TLC a Division of Fibre Federal
Credit Union Scholarship Application. The credit union will offer (7) academic scholarships for the
2025/2026 school year:
• (1) $2,000 Jim Stacie Memorial Scholarship (All scholarships submitted are considered for this award)
• (6) $1,500 Academic Scholarships
Scholarship Requirements:
• Applicant must be a Fibre Federal Credit Union/TLC, A Division of Fibre Federal Credit Union member.
• Application must be accompanied by a copy of current school transcripts, or equivalent.
• Application must be accompanied by a minimum of (1) letter of recommendation.
Scholarship awards are based on:
• Quality/Completeness of Scholarship Application
• Financial Planning/Need
• Academic Standing
• Extra-Curricular Activities
• In addition to the criteria listed above, the Jim Stacie Memorial Scholarship is awarded based on
leadership qualities.
Scholarship Applications are due by 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025. Applications can be submitted by:

Scholarships awarded in May 2025 must be used by December 31, 2026.

Assistance League Columbia Pacific
Senior students who desire to attend an accredited Community College or a
Trade School may apply. Must have a GPA of 2.00 and have had some volunteer
experience either in your school and or community. Assistance League is looking
for students who have educational goals for their future. Please also submit any
participation in any school activities or jobs held during high school years.
The student must represent responsible citizenship, including social media. Any
bullying, illegal activity or questionable social media activity may not be
considered. $1500 scholarship

Clatsop County 4H Association Scholarships
Clatsop County 4H has opened 3 different scholarships for seniors attending Clatsop County high schools, please refer to email for applications and eligiliblity requirements.
Astoria HS Scholarships
Astoria HS scholarship committee has opened 5 scholarships to Clatsop County students. ABATE: North Coast, CMH Health Care, Delta Kappa Gamma, ILWU and The Holen Family. Please use the link provided to apply.

Declan Reed Benenati Foundation
A one-time $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to one applicant from each of the following local area schools:
Oregon: Astoria High School, Warrenton High School, Seaside High School, Knappa High School, Jewell School
Washington: Ilwaco High School (Decky's own alma mater!), Naselle High School
Requirements:
Applicants must be a current high school senior.
Applicants must attend an accredited or licensed post-high school educational or vocational institution or apprenticeship and be registered full time.
Applicants must fall under at least one of the following scenarios:
Have volunteer and service hours working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; OR
Plan on going into a field that provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (i.e. special education, speech and language pathology, occupational therapy, behavior professional, direct support professional, services coordinator or counselor, etc.) This list is not exhaustive, and we can look at each application individually; OR
Be a student with intellectual and developmental disabilities who wishes to attend an accredited or licensed post-high school educational or vocational institution or apprenticeship.

COSA OASSA OSSA Scholarships
COSA Scholarships
Each year COSA sponsors or assists in processing five $1,000 scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to Oregon seniors attending a 2- or 4- year college or university, trade or professional/technical school. The applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2025. Results will be announced by May 2025.
OASSA Scholarships
Each year the Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) awards two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from Oregon public high schools. The scholarships may be used for a 2- or 4-year university, trade, or professional/technical school. These two scholarships are for a son, daughter, or dependent child of an OASSA member who meet the criteria listed on the application. The applications must be postmarked by March 16, 2025. Results will be announced by May 2025.
OSSA Scholarships
COSA also assists in processing scholarships for the Oregon Small Schools Association. The $1000 scholarships are for students of OSSA member districts. Two scholarships each will be awarded in 1A, 2A and 3A districts. Applications must be submitted by April 5, 2025 and results will be announced in May 2024.

Application
Oregon Jaycee Foundation Scholarship
Up to $15,000 in scholarships will be awarded to several graduating Oregon high school seniors in the
Class of 2025. Most of the scholarships will be a one-time grant and must be used in the year awarded.
One scholarship awarded will be a four-year, $1,000/year scholarship. The final selection of a recipient
will be based on the following criteria: academic excellence, personal accomplishments, leadership
qualities, and community service.
Applicants must have at least a 3.75 unweighted GPA to qualify. Opens 2/24/25, closes 4/18/25.
