Local Scholarships are open to all seniors graduating in the current year. 

Scholarships open November 10th @ 9am and close February 13th at 11:59pm.

The following scholarships all use the same SHS common application. This means your information will be saved upon completion of the first scholarship you fill out and is automatically input in the next scholarship applied for. Students will still need to submit each scholarship they apply for individually.

Hyde Racing Scholarship

Hyde Racing Scholarship: This $5,000-dollar scholarship will be awarded to one female in the graduating class who plans on attending a Community College or Trade/Technical School. This scholarship is renewable for two years, if the student maintains C’s and above while attending school full time. Hyde Racing is looking for a female student who has demonstrated the ability to overcome adversity while balancing the demands of high school. Closes February 13^th @ 3:30pm. Applications are available in the counseling office and must be returned to the counseling office prior to the deadline.

Oregon Student Aid

The Elks scholarship 
Eligibility:

• Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
• Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
• High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
• Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
• Scholarships are available only to students who enroll in four-year undergraduate degree programs at accredited U.S. American colleges or universities.
• Deadline is November 15, 2025 @ 11:59pm

Fibre Federal/TLC Credit Union Scholarship

The Fibre Federal/TLC Credit Union scholarship is now available. ​

Scholarship requirements:

• Applicant must be a Fibre Federal Credit Union/TLC, A Division of Fibre Federal Credit Union member.
• Application must be accompanied by a copy of current school transcripts, or equivalent.
• Application must be accompanied by a minimum of (1) letter of recommendation.

Scholarship awards are based on:

• Quality/Completeness of Scholarship Application
• Financial Planning/Need
• Academic Standing
• Extra-Curricular Activities
• In addition to the criteria listed above, the Jim Stacie Memorial Scholarship is awarded based on leadership qualities 
• Scholarship Applications are due by 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026

Al Forthan Scholarship

The Al Forthan Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an Oregon high school senior from a family affected by alcohol or drug addiction. Affected by addiction means you have been raised by a parent or guardian who has experienced addiction or you have abused alcohol or drugs and are now pursuing recovery. US JCI Senate Foundation:
Our organization offers a minimum of two (2) $2000 university and (1) technical/vocational scholarships to graduating seniors in Oregon each year.  Following our review and judging of the applicants, we also send the applications onto our national organization, the US JCI Senate Foundation, where 24 university awards of $2000, 26 university awards of $1500, and 10 technical/vocational awards will be presented this year. 

• Seniors may apply for scholarships for college, university, vocational, or technical programs for the fall of 2026.

• GPA Guidelines/Minimum: 3.75 for University; 3.25 for Vocational/Technical

• Deadline to submit hard copy applications to the Oregon Scholarship Chair is 

           January 12, 2026.  Please submit (2) hard copies of your completed applications in care of Peggy Doty, Scholarship Chair at:

• A minimum of (3) winners will be chosen to receive scholarships at the state level; 2-3 University and 1-2 Technical/Vocational. In 2025, the Oregon JCI Senate Foundation awarded (3) $2000 scholarships for universities and (1) $1000 for technical/vocational. 

• State winners will then be submitted to the U.S. JCI Senate Foundation for national judging. The deadline for national submission is February 17, 2026.

  • In 2025, the US JCI Senate Foundation awarded fifty (50) $1500 grants for colleges and universities, and another ten (10) $1000 grants for vocational and technical schools. This year they will award (24) $2000, (26) $1500 for Universities, and (10) $1000 scholarships for Vocational/Technical programs.
